Summary
When a novel infectious disease emerges, it is essential to measure the potential global public health impact. The impact is mainly measured by the transmission potential and virulence. In addition to estimate these risks, my professional interests include the study of the effectiveness of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical interventions against infectious disease. Using a variety of epidemiological methods and statistical/mathematical modelling, I aims to identify optimal public health strategies based on scientific data that can lead effective policy-making decisions. In this seminar, I will introduce not only my recent research activities, but also the details of my research motivation.
