Kyoto University is currently in the process of reassessing “The Hakubi Project”* to Foster and Support Young Researchers, in order to improve the implementation of the Project’s researcher support activities. Because of the importance of these processes, we must announce that the 13th period (2022) Hakubi call for applications, normally issued in December of each year, will be postponed. Further details will be made available when pending decisions are taken.
The next update of the information will be around March 10, 2022. We expect that we will be able to inform about the application schedule at that time.
* Kyoto University “The Hakubi Project” to Foster and Support Young Researchers
In AY 2009, Kyoto University inaugurated the Hakubi Project to Foster and Support Young Researchers, in which the University appoints promising young researchers as program-specific faculty members (associate professor/assistant professor under the annual salary system). The project supports these researchers’ activities on themes of their own choice, to nurture the development of visionary researchers who will pioneer new paths in their respective academic fields.
