Summary
Safety, security, trust, risk, ethics, management, surveillance, governance, communication… You may have heard these words wherever science and technology are discussed. Today, many areas of science and technologies are facing controversies because of interpretational flexibility by situation and context. In this seminar I will introduce how Science and Technology Studies (STS) have approached these difficult problems and then talk about my research topic, surveillance studies. I welcome a discussion among Hakubi researchers from various disciplines about STS-related issues from their fields.
