Summary

When we look up at the sky at night, the stars we see represent only a small part of our Universe. As we have become able to observe the Universe across various wavelengths of light—not just visible light but also radio waves, X-rays, and gamma rays—the active and dynamic nature of our Universe has emerged. In this seminar, I will provide an overview of modern astronomy, mainly focusing on how we observe the Universe using high-energy light such as X-rays and gamma rays. In the latter half, I will present my research on gamma-ray observations to study cosmic nucleosynthesis and antimatter production, discussing observational results and an upcoming satellite mission.
