Summary
Improvements in the accuracy of clocks have brought about significant changes in human life at many times, as seen in the Age of Discovery or the Industrial Revolution.
In recent years, quantum technology advances have dramatically improved the accuracy of atomic clocks.
What changes will the continuous evolution of clocks bring to us?
In this talk, I will introduce the principles of atomic clocks, the core technologies and tools of state-of-the-art atomic clocks, such as optical lattice clocks and ion clocks.
In addition, I will present the recent attempts to search for new physics using atomic clocks.
Finally, I will present my research plans in the context of how the technology in atomic clocks can contribute to the future.
