Summary
Buddhism, which originated with Śākyamuni-Buddha, who was active around the 5th century BC, spread to various parts of Asia and took root in each region and culture.
Of course, the words of Buddha, which were passed down as the truth, could not be altered. However, as times and cultures change, there are many cases where the words of Buddha are not enough to win over believers.
Buddhists in various parts of Asia have continued to pass on the Buddhism by keeping the Buddha’s words intact, but also by adding their own “interpretations” to them, adapting them to the times and cultures.
Buddhism has been able to take root in various places by using the excuse that “the Buddha said this, but these words also have another meaning implied in them”.
In this report, I will present the results of this year’s research, which is based on the diversity of interpretations of the word “love 愛”, as well as my content of the Hakubi Project and my previous research.
