Summary

Synthetic biology is a relatively new discipline of biology, which aims to understand biological systems by creating, designing, or manipulating them. In the context, I have especially been interested in the role of protein dynamics, such as diffusion, transport, and assembly/disassembly in diverse behavior of single cells. In recent years, I thus developed techniques that can manipulate protein dynamics inside living cells. Those techniques, as well as basic background knowledges, will be briefly explained in the seminar, followed by future perspectives in relation to my Hakubi project.Other applications and ongoing tool development will also be presented.
