No.207 Seminar : ”Development of new functional materials in nanosized metal particles”
- Associate Professor Kohei Kusada (Hakubi 11th batch, Institute for Integrated Cell-Material Sciences)
- 2021/11/16 4:30pm
- Online / Zoom closed only to members related with Kyoto University
- Mainly in Japanese
Summary
The importance of nanotechnology to freely control materials at the atomic and molecular scale (10^(-9) m = 1 nm (nanometer)) is increasing for development such as catalysts that enable material conversion for realizing a sustainable recycling society and electronic materials that miniaturize devices around us. Everything is made up of a combination of various atoms, therefore, chemistry allows creating materials by controlling atoms.
In this seminar, I would like to introduce nano-sized metal particles (metal nanoparticles) and their general synthesis and applications. Also, I will show some new nanomaterials which I synthesized and their unique properties such as catalytic properties. I would like to discuss new applications of metal nanoparticles etc through this seminar.

- Presentation Language:Japanese
