Summary
Indian philology and philosophy has accumulated valuable results through detailed linguistic examinations of ancient Indian literature as well as considerations of religious and philosophical thinking detected in it. From these results, understanding of existent Indian texts is achieved in some extent, and it follows that a new perspective of study is now expected to develop our discipline. In this presentation, method to analyze “language style” of ancient Indian texts will be discussed, and how the result of the analysis can make the background and process of composing the texts clear. An attempt to introduce “methods to analyze and visualize” in other fields into my study has just started in Hakubi Project since this October. I would like to present the newest information about my study.
* Before Dr. Amano’s talk, Dr. Hoso (4th batch) will give a small talk on his overseas business trip.
