Summary

Materials inspired by biological systems such as biomolecules and cells are referred to as bio-inspired materials. My research interests have focused on the design and medical applications of polysaccharide-based self-assembling nanogels as carriers for drug delivery systems (DDS) that deliver drugs to the target site at the required time, place and dose with pinpoint accuracy. In addition to this, I am investigating the function of extracellular vesicles, which attracted much attention in recent years as biogenic DDS carriers. In this seminar, I would like to introduce my work and the latest research trend regarding bio-inspired materials for medical applications.
