    Construction of Developmental Sensorimotor Integration Model Based on Robot Experience

Shun was born in the United States of America in 1981, and moved to Japan when entering junior high school. During his university life, he was engaged in international exchange activities to make use of his experience in the States, in addition to education and research. He values interaction with people from different cultural backgrounds to obtain a broad perspective. His research is focused on creating a human-like robot that develops its intelligence based on its own experience. His interests include development process of humans’ intelligence such as infants’ acquisition of environmental cognition ability and behvaiors through playing with toys and conversation/interaction with parents. Through discussions with researchers from various fields, such as brain science, engineering, and informatics fields, he hopes to contribute to understanding of intelligence.
