Sulfur: A Key Element for Novel Reactions and Molecules

Kei has been interested in science since he was an elementary school student. When he was in a high school, Japanese professors won the Nobel prize in Chemistry for three successive years (2000-2002). Because of this, he came to the personal conviction that he had to select chemistry as his major. In the field of chemistry, he has a strong interest in organic chemistry because it can create new molecules that are directly linked with the welfare of human beings. Although organic chemistry has a long history and has been well studied, there are still many difficulties and problems in terms of efficiency and selectivity. Our ultimate goal is to develop new reactions that can directly provide every molecule in a highly selective and controlled manner.
