Naoki received his bachelor’s degree from Osaka University in 1995, and his Ph.D. from Kyoto University in 2002. After completing postdoctoral training in Mark Mayford’s lab at The Scripps Research Institute, he joined the Hakubi Center, Kyoto University as an Associate Professor. He is investigating where and how memory is acquired, stored, and retrieved in the brain by utilizing genetically engineered mice.
