    Business Groups around the World: Theoretical Analysis and Empirical Synthesis

Asli obtained her M.Sc. at the University of Leeds in the U.K. and her Ph.D. at Kyoto Institute of Technology in Japan. After four years of research at the Institute of Economic Research of Kyoto University and Institute of Enterprise, Technology and Competitiveness of Doshisha University, she has been working as an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Management of Kyoto University since 2008. She is the co-editor of the Oxford Handbook of Business Groups, Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2010. In that same year she was awarded the Tachibana Prize for the most outstanding female scholar at Kyoto University. At the present, she is working on the theoretical and empirical examination of the resilience of diversified “business groups” around the world.
